We took a quick drive up to Jackman Creek in the mountains, along a logging road and a hunter's haven. We were anticipating a view of Mount Baker, but had to cut the drive short due to some appointments at home. We did manage to find a beautiful waterfall and the creek a couple miles up from the waterfall. One of the boys' favorite pastime on these trips is to climb the rocks and throw smaller rocks into the water, seeing who can make the biggest splash!
Cameron says, "Take a picture of me!"

The boys were busy looking for critters, while I was busy with the camera, looking for the "perfect shot!"

We stopped to view this cascading waterfall, the sound of the rushing water was loud up there in the quiet mountains.

The boys had fun climbing up the rocks along the waterfall.
The water was cold and good to drink! It's so cool to be able to drink from a fresh mountain waterfall! We took the dogs too!

We're so privileged to have such views! You can see the Skagit River below. Overall it was a great day to be out as a family, we only wished we had more time for exploring!
